This will collapse NATO considering most of the threats are coming East and South. Without Turkey costs will skyrocket. I am glad we are not ruled by Reddit armchair generals. This will make Turkey, Russia and Iran closer it makes it 300 million hostile population with etremely big markets for European companies. You can not fill the gap of Turkey with Scandinavians. This is not a democratic club but a defensive alliance. I am not even talking about how Turkey can open refugee doors(NATO membership is only leverage that stayed with us), Nato can not project power to Middle East, Caucasus etc. Balkans will be toasted between Turkey , Russia and the EU. Repercussions will be too high. I hope we can find a solution soon. It is a very valuable member. I feel sad for them because they are constantly being targeted by racism. If we are preparing against a bigger cold war against China and Russia I would want Turkey in our side not as an opponent.
