Latvia to Transfer 21 Confiscated Vehicles to Ukraine for Military Support

According to Ukrinform, this is reported by Delfi.

The Latvian Ministry of the Interior has proposed to the government to transfer to Ukraine 21 vehicles seized from drunk drivers and in connection with other criminal cases.

According to Latvian media, this initiative is being viewed as part of aid to Ukraine.

Among other things, it is planned to hand over to Ukraine a 22-year-old luxury-class Lincoln Navigator.

Details and Intended Use of the Vehicles

It is noted that these vehicles are intended for the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense’s military units, the National Guard, Kharkiv Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital, and the Novovorontsovka Military Administration.

The vehicles were produced between 2000 and 2019. The preliminary market value, according to the State Supply Agency’s assessments, is around €74,600.

Since the start of the full-scale war, Latvia has regularly transferred vehicles to Ukraine, seized from drunk drivers and as part of other criminal cases.

Investigators of the National Police of Ukraine together with Latvian law enforcement authorities have identified about 300 participants in an international financial crime network involved in cybercrime and money laundering.

Such steps highlight Latvia’s long-standing support for Ukraine in defense and law enforcement.
