A 16-year-old girl from Milan, Italy, has been confirmed as another victim of the fire.

Chiara Costanzo’s father, Andrea, told Italian newspaper Il Corriere della Sera that “my beloved Chiara is no more”.

He told the paper earlier today that he was heading with his wife from Crans-Montana to Sion, where a task force is working to identify bodies following Thursday’s deadly blaze at Le Constellation bar.

Asked what kind of daughter Chiara was, Costanzo said she excelled at everything she did.

“She wouldn’t go unnoticed: she always left something good behind,” he said, as he described how she was great at both gymnastics and skiing, spoke English fluently and got high grades at school.

Costanzo told the news outlet that his daughter and her friends had chosen Le Constellation randomly, as other venues were full.

Italian national Emanuele Galeppini, 17 and a golf prodigy, was the first victim to be reported dead, with news confirmed by the Italian Golf Federation on Friday.

Earlier today (see post at 10.12), Swiss police said four victims had been identified as two Swiss women aged 21 and 16, and two Swiss men aged 18 and 16.

Their bodies have been returned to their families, Swiss police said.
