Petar Sucic has described his impact at Inter Milan as “incredible,” while opening up on his mentality, playing style and the teammate whose qualities he would most like to borrow.

Speaking in the official Matchday Programme ahead of Inter vs Bologna, the Croatian midfielder explained how his love for football developed naturally from childhood.

“My passion for football was born in a very natural way, like for so many children,” Sucic said.

“As soon as I saw my first ball, I fell in love with it and started playing with my friends. We were always at the pitch behind the school, and that’s where everything began.”

Sucic then reflected on the qualities that define him as a player, underlining both technical and mental traits.

“My technical ability, my vision of the game, and being able to help the team by playing in different positions are my main strengths,” he explained.

“I’m very proud of who I am today because I’ve worked hard to get here.”

On a personal level, he added: “In terms of character, I’d say my hunger to win and my desire to achieve objectives. I’m someone who never gives up.”

Asked which quality he would take from a teammate, Sucic was quick to point to Ange-Yoan Bonny.

“There are several qualities I could take from my teammates,” he admitted.

“But I’d say Bonny’s power. He’s incredibly strong.”

Finally, the Croatia international spoke warmly about his adaptation to life at Inter, insisting he immediately felt at home.

“My impact at Inter has been incredible,” Sucic said.

“When I arrived, I really felt like part of a family straight away. We all work hard for the same objectives and we go onto the pitch giving everything to win matches.”
