Khamenei’s first tweet stated: “The most important thing is that when one realizes that an enemy wants to impose something on a government or a nation with false claims, one must firmly stand against them. We will not surrender to them. With reliance on God and confidence in the support of the people, we will subdue the enemy.”
In the second post, he wrote: “That arrogant American sits there talking about the Iranian people, spreading a mix of slanders and false promises. False promises! Deception!”
The third tweet read: “We will not surrender to the enemy,” followed by a fourth tweet: “We will subdue the enemy.”
Elon Musk responded to the third tweet, ‘We will not surrender to the enemy,’ writing in Persian: “زهي خيال باطل,” a phrase meaning in Arabic ‘false illusion’ or ‘vain hope.’
The third tweet by Khamenei received over 10,000 responses, including Musk’s, which itself garnered more than 7,800 replies at the time of reporting.
