Fanshawe got what he wanted, he personally got the rights he was seeking and is now comfortable and successful, and now he wants to haul the ladder up behind him. I’m surprised he didn’t realise this when he was writing for the Daily Mail, when have they ever been a friend to the gay community?
The Daily Mail hated Stonewall all along.
The idea that one of the founders would ally with the Daily Mail to bully, marginalise and discriminate against members of the LGBTQ+ community is disappointing and saddening.
