They’re called breasts, Vyvyan, and everybody’s got them.
> The advertising watchdog received 24 complaints that the advert’s use of nudity was gratuitous and objectified women by sexualising them and “reducing them to body parts”.
Really? Gratuitous and subjecting women to potentially being sexualized.
Uncalled for? It’s about sports bra ranges, what better way? It seems quite called for. And as far as sexualising, how thirsty do you need to be to fap to that?
They are just tits…literally nothing sexual in the advert.
I did actually file a report with them one time about a local business promising a free item with each purchase on social media but then not delivering on it. I had screenshots and everything. They got back to me like 6 months later and said it was Trading Standards job to enforce it. It was literally a social media ad, how is that not their job? I got the impression that they just couldn’t be bothered because it was a small business. Too busy with stupid shit like this.
Saying children shouldn’t see breasts is sexualizing them more than the advert is.
I thought most companies put their ads over billboards, what sort of two-bit firm is this?
Meanwhile every Hollister advert will have a man with no top on.
But women – be ashamed of your breasts! Be ashamed of your body! Conceal that it’s disgusting!
Yet bare male breasts are totally ok, even when depicted in a sexually provactive manner.
> Some people had contacted them asking whether the posters were appropriate to be on display where they could be seen by children.
Fuck these pointless cunts.
I’m sure everyone at Adidas is shocked and appalled that their advert full of boobs has gained attention. I imagine they must be so sad that this is now being talked about in the news.
Bets on how many of the 24 complainants read the Daily Heil?
What’s wrong with breasts? Men go bare chested and nobody bats an eye. Women go bare chested and the world go ape shit…
For f sake it’s a pair of tits get over it, I still laugh they have to use a blue liquid to show the merits of jam rags and babies nappies
I don’t think we should have public nudity be normalised.
What is this Saudi Arabia?
I’ve never undestood the logic of ofcom/ASA complaints.
Surely if 10,000,000 people view an advert and only 24 people complain then it is categorically not offensive. The problem is in the 24 peoples minds.
Oh no, god forbid someone sees a naked *breast.*
I’m on Adidas’ side on this one. Fucking ridiculous. Breasts are a normal part of life, every woman has them and every woman is entitled to exist, with her breasts, in peace. Get over it.
Women, if you’re with another woman who tells you not to show your breasts shout “STOP! Women have the right to display them in adverts, breastfeeding and in public”. Do not accept any argument about thinking about children.
So, when women wear these skin tight, sports bras in public, are they objectifying them selfs?
And what about those skin tight, flesh coloured leggings that show a perfect outline of their bottoms and other genitals? I think thats far worse than simply showing some breast.
Also also, i have never understood the thing about nipples. Every human has them, yet only some are meant to cover them up? i see my nipples every day, i have never been offended by them. Honestly, this thing around breasts and nipples is just so outdated.
And to ban an advert for this, ir rediculous.
That is what they wanted. The fact people are outraged and then people are outraged at the people who are outraged gives them way more publicity.

What’s the adage? No such thing as bad publicity?

Not sure how it’s offensive to be honest.

The ASA are a useless, prudish organisation. Their [recent ruling over the Tesco Mobile ad](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-61403280) is ridiculous too.
