Slovenia issued 1.75 billion euros ($2.05 billion) in a 10-year, March 2036-dated bond on Monday, one of the lead manager banks said.
The transaction was the first syndicated deal in the eurozone sovereign space this year. January is traditionally is a very busy month in eurozone government bond issuance as countries start their annual funding programs, and there are usually a high number of syndicated issues beside the auctions.
Books for the deal closed above 10 billion euros, including 912 million euros joint lead manager demand, the same bank said. The spread on the bond was set 37 basis points above mid-swaps, the bank said.
Lead managers of the deal were DZ Bank, HSBC, J.P. Morgan, OTP Banka Slovenia and Raiffeisen Bank International.
