DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) -River Action is launching their 7th season of the QC Environmental Film Series set to run on Sundays from Jan. 18 to March 1 at the St. Ambrose Galvin Fine Arts Center theater, 2101 Gaines Street in Davenport.
The mission of the annual movie showings is to bring inspirational, educational, environmental films to our community while encouraging grassroots activism for environmental justice and the care of our planet.
This season, attendees can watch the compelling film at 3 p.m. and are invited to join in on ENVIRO Connect networking opportunities at 2 p.m. (prior to the showings) and staying after each movie to listen and discuss with reflection speakers to deepen understanding of a given issue and to spark meaningful action.
The first film, Out There – A National Parks Story, will be shown Jan. 18. The documentary chronicles what began as a summer road trip as it becomes a seven-year odyssey, capturing untold stories of those who protect, visit, and find healing in the parks. (75 minutes)
