While Boris Johnson partied, I helped a child put on PPE to see his dying dad

  1. It’s reasons like this why the piece of human excrement that is Alex and his I’ll should never be forgiven.

But of course, far too many people will when it comes election time. The bribes will be paid, the propaganda run, and the social media manipulated into an alternate reality.

    There really is no future.

  2. People need to stop making it about Johnson.

The more you make it his failings, the more you give Tory voters an out at the next election because ‘Boris was bad and he’s gone’.

They’re rotten to the core and we need to stop using kid gloves about it.

  3. This is what Johnson fails to understand, it is not just about what he did but about what other people did not do or get to do because of the rules he put into place. People gave up their social lives or stopped seeing family members because they were serving a greater good, or at least that is what Johnson was saying. He personally told people to stay inside to save lives and he told people to not mix households; people did that because they trusted others, including the government, to do the same. Now we are finding out that the Tories were hosting parties (at a time when we were told not to throw our own Christmas parties) and that a man who had COVID so badly that he ended up in the ITU was happily running them. How can he be surprised that people are not letting this go?

  4. We made changes to our lives, tried to follow the guidelines/law to do our bit. Turns out Boris and co parties constantly and hard because they could. The whole culture of the downing street stinks

  5. She’s mainly right, of course. But I wish we could ditch this crappy rhetoric about children and babies and fucking bleeding hearts.

It’s reasonable to dislike Johnson and his party for firmer ethical grounds, and these journalists need to find better creative language for saying that

  6. While Boris Johnson partied, my widowed aunt, who was already grieving over the loss of her husband to cancer, was spending months in self-isolation shielding from the coronavirus. She ultimately starved herself to death. On top of that, others I know have mentally gone off the deep end during the pandemic.

Boris needs to fucking go. This has gotten personal.
