Hi all,
I’m just wondering are there any websites online that would sell wood panels that don’t come in big sheets that you need to cut? I’m looking for panels that approximately 0.6 inches/16mm in thickness 30cm in width and 45 cm in height? I intend on using the panels as a base for my clay sculptures.
I’ve tried to find wood panels locally but they only sell them in big sheets and they don’t offer a service to cut them into smaller pieces at all. It seems to be the same way online as you can see here: [https://brooksonline.ie/6mm-hardwood-faced-plywood-2440mmx1220mm-8×4-hply6?gclid=Cj0KCQjw1ZeUBhDyARIsAOzAqQJTq9JdJchu4H5htjFSwt\_zaRNCClsg4AlFJXmDsI1f494q9EqaS0QaAjWbEALw\_wcB](https://brooksonline.ie/6mm-hardwood-faced-plywood-2440mmx1220mm-8×4-hply6?gclid=Cj0KCQjw1ZeUBhDyARIsAOzAqQJTq9JdJchu4H5htjFSwt_zaRNCClsg4AlFJXmDsI1f494q9EqaS0QaAjWbEALw_wcB).
I don’t have a circular saw and I’m useless at cutting sheets of wood with a hand saw.
Any helpful information would be appreciated.
Thanks

If ya can’t find a site/ seller for those specific sizes, I’d recommend renting out a circular saw from a local hardware shop
Give woodworkers in terenure a call or email.
They’ll sort you out.
I seem to recall that B & Q used to have a woodcutting service. Not sure if they still do though.
Woodies (seriously). Find one local, they do some quare sizes.

B&Q used to cut to size in store, but stopped during Covid. Maybe back on again now though.
Larry’s DIY on the gracepark Road near Shelbourne fc stadium cut wood to order.
No idea. Give them a bell.
B&Q have a fancy machine to cut to order, it’s some sort of hanging table saw down in the Cork store.
Or give the nearest sawmill a shout. They can rip it for you if they have it or if you can get it to them.
