Belarus exported its products to 8 countries of the “far arc” through 13 ports of Russia. This was announced today, January 6, by the Minister of Transport and Communications of the republic Alexei Lyakhnovich.
“A pilot project has been implemented to consolidate and supply goods to the countries of the far arc. Belarusian export cargoes have been shipped to Africa (Egypt, South Africa), Latin America (Nicaragua), Southeast Asia (Vietnam, Myanmar, the Republic of Korea, India) and the Middle East (UAE),” the minister said.
According to him, for 10 months of 2025, the volume of cargo transported through the ports of the Russian Federation increased by 3.7% compared to the same period of the previous year.
Earlier, Belarus used mainly the ports of the Baltic republics for its exports. However, after 2022 they became unavailable and Minsk decided to accelerate the development of alternative routes. Now the bulk of the Belarusian industry enters the foreign market through Russian ports.
