SPAR Netherlands has unveiled a completely revamped commercial team, with the aim of simplifying store formats and streamlining internal processes.

Within the commercial department, category management and data management will remain unchanged, the retailer added.

However, the marketing and digital commerce team will now integrate communications, aligning internal and external messaging with commercial activation.

Two new multidisciplinary teams have been introduced, each dedicated to the development of SPAR‘s various formats.

Robèr Delver has joined as the new head of food retail, with responsibility for leading the evolution of SPAR neighbourhood stores.

Concurrently, Martijn van der Hoeven will lead the ‘foodvenience’ team, focusing on boosting growth and optimising SPAR’s high-traffic locations.

These teams comprise specialists in floor planning, space utilisation, concept development, marketing, and commercial account management.

The refreshed SPAR Netherlands commercial team now includes: Chrischa Ligtenberg, manager of marketing, communications and digital commerce; Martijn van der Hoeven, head of Foodvenience; Richard Versleijen, head of category management; Robèr Delver, head of food retail; and Thomas Heijnen, master data manager.
