Riverside Prep is 9-1 against Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy since April of 2021 and they’ll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Silver Knights will host Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy at 5:00 p.m. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Having struggled with four defeats in a row, Riverside Prep turned things around against Excelsior Charter on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 6-1 victory. It was an even better day for Jimena Nunez as she scored four goals for her team.

Meanwhile, Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy’s game on Tuesday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but luckily for them it didn’t stay that way. They rang in the new year with a 3-1 win over Silverado.

Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy’s victory bumped their record up to 6-3-2. As for Riverside Prep, the win was their first at home, bumping their record up to 7-5-1.

Riverside Prep was able to grind out a solid victory over Cobalt Institute of Math & Science Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2025, winning 4-2.
