Does anyone know how to wire these 4 cables into a T25 plug for a washing machine?

  1. Yes.
    Brown L1
    Black L2
    Grey L3
    Blue N
    Green yellow PE.

    but you are missing the grey one… sooo well.
    According to the information you gave this is it… but idk whats at the other end of that cable.

  2. This is not difficult. As I am NOT an electrician, I will not tell you what to do – I will not be responsible if sth goes south.

    But honestly: I f you do not know how that works, you clearly do not know much about electricity and power – and this is totally OK. But you should not try to wire up a two phase appliance without knowing what you are doing. For your own and everyone else’s safety.

    Please get a licensed electrician or at least a knowledgeable friend to to this, so that the insulation and the strain release is done correctly. Otherwise some poor firefighter will have to pry your (or someone else’s) fried body off the cables or get your and your housemates toasty remains out of burned down ruins.

  3. You should get an electrician to do it.

    Even if you wire each wire to the right pin, there can be many things that could go wrong, and you don’t want yourself or your loved ones to risk an accident because of a faulty connection.
    Even if you wire with great care, if you’re not familiar with electric appliances, there are many tiny errors you could make that could add up to a fatal default.

    As an electrician myself, I saw some amateur connections that were really terrifying, and electricity is way more dangerous than most people think.

    iirc, according to the national ordonnance on electrical installations, I don’t think you’re allowed to work on multiphased circuits

  4. De hellbrun isch leiter de blau isch neutrale de gelbgrüän isch erdig. Ich denk de ander brun isvh noma en leiter. Stell eifach de strom ab wenns selber machsch.

  5. Get a electrician cuz there are many dangerous things wich can happen when you make a smal mistake. Pls

  6. The brown one is ground… right?
    Blue must be water then…
    Yellow and green… Brazil?
    The black one I have no idea, sorry.

  7. If you have to ask this on reddit, go get an electrician. You don’t want your house to burn down.

  8. Since you‘re missing grey i suggest you either call an electrician or you double check the other end and continue with what you have

  9. Ok this is pretty simple. You have a two phase washing machine, which actually is quite odd as they tend to not make those. Is this an old machine? Or it could be a combined machine? For usually 13 amps is the max in Switzerland, and thus with two phases you have about 26 amps.

    The blue is neutral with an N on the schematic. The yellow and green is ground. The black and brown are the two lines, which could be L1, L2, or L3. Find a schematic for a T25 plug and just play connect the dots. It is not a big deal. However, the washing machine if it requires a specific L1, and L2 connection will show so on the schematic.

    I am saying L1, and L2 are not that phase dependent because in a motor that relies on phases you are missing L3, and motors will be jerky without that phase. Hence why I think you have two phases because you need the amperage meaning the black and brown can be interchanged on L1, L2, and L3.

  10. Im a electrician,

    L1= brown
    L2=black
    L3=Grey
    N(neutral)= Blue
    Ground(seach for the symbol)=yellow and green

    You dont have the black one, it does not matter you can just ignore it.

    There are a lot of people here Guessing, you cant guess when it comes to electricity, i would get a eletrician. To prevent a acident or frying your device.

  11. Some clarification needed:

    – Do you assemble a plug for the first time in your life? If yes, it’s overkill and costly – but call an Electrician and stop following this thread!

    Otherwise

    – The cable in the picture is an original part leading to the washing machine in question? If no – call an Electrician and stop following this thread!

    Otherwise

    Welcome. First of all disclaimer: Whatever you do is at your own risk. This description is for professionals usage only and no liability whatsoever can be derived from it!

    What you have to do is quite simple.

    * Buy a T25 plug in a DIY store nearby
    * Check out the fitting instruction (if any)
    * The cable is already neatly dismantled and wire sleeves have been applied. Nothing left to do here
    * Connections you have to setup:
    * BROWN goes to the L1 labelled mounting hole.
    * BLACK goes to any of the L2 labelled mounting holes.
    * BLUE goes to the N labelled mounting hole.
    * GREEN/YELLOW goes to the PE or PEN labelled mounting hole.
    * Make sure all connections are fitting tightly.
    * Do not forget to apply the cable anchorage!
    * Mount the cover and close it tightly.

    Ready. Have fun washing (unless you soon post another topic on how to hook up a water hose…).

  12. i am not an electrician!
    it should be labelled. you have two live wires here (brown), a neutral (blue) and a ground (green-yellow). the plug should have the connectors labelled with L1, L2, N and a symbol for ground (kinda looks like an antenna or maybe a stick stuck into the ground). as far as i can tell, the lighter brown is live 1, the darker live 2.
    proceed at your own risk, have a professional do it if you’re not 100% confident. i suggest looking this up on the internet, you’ll probably find a tutorial on youtube. and don’t do it at all if your plug’s connector aren’t labelled.
