  1. I agree with his thoughts on cannabis, but ffs would it kill him to wear a shirt and tie? Honestly it would actually make him more credible as a proponent. Like wtf do all these rebels wear stupid grunge clothing to work? If I had wore that back in the office I would have got a stern talking to by the boss.

  2. Jesus the amount of conservative thinking in this threat is ridiculous. Medical marijuana does work however there is massive potential for misuse as current legislation stands also if economies are suffering and it’s a way that’s not destructive to bring in more cash flow it should be explored. I know someone’s going to ratio me or permaban me for this but this is the truth. I don’t smoke it but it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t work for other people

  3. I really wish the people pushing for legalization here where not the biggest twats in the world. Its a good cause supported by some of the worst people

  4. You’ve got to wonder what the rest of the MEPs think of Ireland when they see the likes of Ming, Wallace and Daly on display.

They must think we are off our rocker over here if these are meant to be our representatives.

  5. It needs to be legalized. We can benefit so much from it and it will drive down crime around it as well. Glad to see Germany take the step towards it and we should as well

  6. Look at the taxes that are lost…he makes a good point, keeping it illegal only benefits the criminal gangs.

  7. Good man Ming. Almost sounded like he was going to get an applause at the end.

He should stick to this and give up on the anti-EU pro-Brexit stuff.

  8. Love how people are just shaming how he dressed and passing no remarks on his speech.

Regardless of his choice in clothing, he makes valid points and it needs to be regulated and legalised asap.

  9. Ireland needs to tax cannibis so badly!! Were fucked the way we’re going! We could have all the hospitals and roads we want if we just taxed it!

  10. You should be allowed to grow plants for your own consumption, but to argue that cannabis, or more specifically THC, is universally benign is dishonest. It can be extremely damaging to mental health.

  11. What have People here against cannabis? I suffer from severe anxiety have done all my life tried everything therapy lexapro zanex you name it! the only thing that makes me feel normal is 1 joint before bed! How does me having 1 joint before bed to feel normal impact your life in anyway! Terrible that everyone is ok with people going around like emotionless zombies on legal drugs prescribed by doctors but have a vendetta with people like me wanting to feel normal. On don’t try say “oh the weed has you thinking like that” bolix! It’s ok for people who wake up normal and take been happy and content for granted. I strive for happiness everyday some days I fail but cannabis helps me with the days I fail and keeps me fighting.

  12. Disagree with Ming on a good bit, but he’s 100% right on cannabis.

(His surname is Flanagan or Ó Flannagáin, btw. Very common in Roscommon and Galway)

    Up Castlerea

  13. I have a connective tissue disorder and arthritis, cannabis edibles helps me manage my pain and keep painkillers for severe flare ups, helps me sleep and makes movies more enjoyable. Its the center of a fair city plot at the moment, if even rte are warming to it legalisation can’t be far behind

  14. Top man Ming. Cannabis legislation is a disgrace, the people profiteering most currently as he says are gangsters and cartels.. It has to be fully legalised.

  15. I don’t think I’ve ever talked to anyone, other than politicians who thought cannabis should be illegal.
