Meghan Markle has revealed her “intentions” for the New Year just as her husband, Prince Harry, braces for a major update regarding his security in the UK. The Duchess of Sussex sent a new newsletter to her As Ever followers, saying that “easing in can be its own kind of resolution”.
She said: “With the rush of the holiday season behind us, we look ahead with an intention to begin the new year at a gentler pace. Making space for moments that matter—shared over a cup of tea, by candlelight, or simply taking a pause when the day allows. A reminder that how you start matters, and that easing in can be its own kind of resolution.” It comes as the Duke of Sussex will soon learn the findings of the Royal and VIP Executive Committee’s (Ravec) reassessment of his threat levels while in the UK.
Prince Harry lost his High Court challenge against the Home Office’s decision to downgrade his security since he quit the royals in 2020; however, his team are optimistic this will change. Ravec’s risk management board is set to present the reassessment to the committee in due course before a final decision is made.
