Proud being Belgian, let’s keep it that way

  1. Obvious nonsense, but it could just be a misleading title. *Maybe* these countries are the most popular in *just a handful* of states that the researchers see as somehow leading in some ways.

  2. I’m not really “proud” to be Belgian and I kinda like that. Like, we don’t have the same patriotism as the ameriburgers do and I genuinely like that about us.

Imagine someone setting a Belgian flag on fire. Maybe some would see it as an outrage? In the USA, I heard you need to burn a flag if it has touched the ground (weird cult rule but ok). I think many Belgians would just think: “what a retard, that flag probably cost him some money and now it’s worthless” and then go on with their day.

It’s like when Trump said that Brussels was a shit hole. First reaction was “yeah, kinda lol” but the second was “stop talking trash about my favorite shit hole”. It’s a unique blend of hating oneself while also proudly thinking: “I totally love how average this all is!” Just my 2 cents.

  3. Why Austria though? What are they known for?

“It’s a western country I almost never hear about. Must be a chill place”

  4. For real I’m often admiring Belgium because of all the chances and advantages this country provides, I’m really glad to live in this country

  5. I’mproud too , the best beer in the world , our kitchen , the languages most of us speak . A good pklace to lead your life .

  6. I’m not really proud to be Belgian. I wouldn’t know why. We are the laughing stock of many countries. Dutch think we are stupid (they are right), English think we are not a real country (they are right too), Germans think we cannot drive (they are right too), Italians think we put pineapple on our pizza (they are right too).
