The refusal to publish the notes proves there’s things he doesn’t want the public to know that he “suggested” / demanded during the meeting
Nothing to hide… as usual means nothing when you’re a Tory with everything to hide
I don’t know what the protocol is for meetings of this type, but given the *Times* quotes two sources – one “Whitehall” and one less specified – supporting [their reporting](https://archive.ph/0dZuq#selection-949.0-965.335) that “Johnson suggested Gray should drop her plans to publish ” it would be interesting to know just who was present.

Sky News also [refers to more than one source](https://news.sky.com/story/politics-hub-live-updates-as-boris-johnson-prepares-for-sue-gray-report-into-partygate-and-ministers-hint-at-windfall-tax-u-turn-12593360?postid=3937433#liveblog-body) for the claim “the PM implied the report should be dropped, questioning what more would be left to say after the police concluded their work”.
The *Times* says Steve Barclay, Johnson’s chief of staff was there. Obviously Gray and Johnson were there.
Could one of the sources be Gray herself? That would say something about her attitude to Johnson and resolve regarding the publication I guess.
However that might be I guess there must be a fairly short list being worked on by anyone looking for the anonymous briefers.
