I can understand people struggling to cope with lockdown puppies when they suddenly go back into full time office work, but lockdown goldfish?

I think a couple of pet goldfish are a drop in the ocean vs the hundreds of thousands of tonnes of raw sewage that are being pumped into them.
Throw them into horse troughs instead. They eat the mosquito larvae and keep the trough clean. A Mr T. Shelby taught me that.
As a fishkeeper the idea of thousands of people just chucking fish into rivers and canals makes me livid. If you do this you’re making 3 stupid decisions at once, and you should honestly be banned from keeping animals because you clearly never cared enough to understand anything about the animal you’re throwing away.
