Canada Post has suspended delivery service for the day due to freezing rain and severe weather conditions.
In a media release, Canada Post announced that they had issued a red delivery service alert, which means that they are “suspending delivery for the day and not sending our delivery agents out or recalling them.”
This alert also includes mail collection.
Canada Post says that will resume once conditions improve and it’s safe to do so.
They also ask the public to clear ice from their walkways, stairs, and driveways, to ensure safe access to the front door when service resumes.
Anyone that has questions regarding mail delivery is asked to contact Canada Post’s Customer Service team online at canadapost.ca/support or by telephone at 1-866-607-6301 (TTY: 1-800-267-2797).
