Eintracht Frankfurt new boy Younes Ebnoutalib has enjoyed an incredible journey.

Barely a year ago, the forward was plying his trade in the fourth tear of German football with FC Gießen before a move to his hometown club via SV Elversberg.

A first involvement for Die Adler in Friday’s Bundesliga encounter with Borussia Dortmund saw Ebnoutalib leading the line in a potential baptism of fire.

But the 22-year-old produced both an assured performance and opened his account in fine fashion to overhaul the visitors’ 2-1 advantage at Deutsche Bank Park.

Ebnoutalib looked set to end up on the winning side courtesy of Mahmoud Dahoud’s stoppage-time winner that put Eintracht on the cusp of a Champions League spot.

No sooner had the hosts taken the lead, however, Dortmund snatched a last-gasp leveller through Carney Chukwuemeka to round off a six-goal thriller.

It’s fair to say Ebnoutalib will not forget his first outing for Dino Toppmöller’s side!
