Golden Valley and St. Louis Park business owners have the chance to take part in seminars on marketing–specifically digital marketing–this year thanks to a free program from Westopolis, the joint destination marketing organization between the two cities.

Destination Uplift  is the series being offered every month (except July and December) between now and next January, said Westopolis President Becky Bakken.

“There’s little things that you could add or tweak or change that you didn’t know about two weeks earlier,” said Bakken about digital marketing trends and techniques she thinks all business owners can benefit from knowing more about. “I really don’t think there’s any business too big or too small.”

The Destination Uplift Webinar Schedule begins with an in-person session on February 26 in St. Louis Park, but all other classes will be online on the fourth Thursday of each month. You’re also welcome to view and the classes online any time after they happen if it better fits your schedule. But Westopolis is offering a unique opportunity for those who want as much in-person experience as possible with the classes.

“If you work best putting it on your calendar and having it at a time, then you attend that fourth Thursday of every month,” said Bakken. “If you really like to come in-person, if you really like to network and visit with others and have a chance to talk about what you just learned, we’re going to have a chance to come to what we’re calling ‘watch parties,’ and they’re going to happen the same time every month.”

Bakken said the classes are free and there is no limit to how many people your business can send.
