Old buildings shouldn’t stop us developing, but they also don’t need to be bulldozed.
Epic Ireland is not a famine museum, weird take and for the avoidance of doubt BGET is specifically not an Amphitheatre. Also a weird take.
I don’t Dublin does offer another alternative as it stands. Critically low supply in theses areas which is why the many bang average apartments in these facilities go for extortionate rates. If all these buildings were x3 as tall you fit in as many premium apartments plus more actual stock as well.
Its a wonderful little area (my office is there now and I go in once or twice a week). I do think the sky scrapers could be much taller and it wouldn’t cause any harm. I don’t understand why Dublin is so much against sky scrapers (especially considering the housing crisis).
First time seeing the new building by The Point. Looks a bit grim in all honesty.
