Prophet and President Dallin H. Oaks of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will dedicate the Burley Idaho Temple on Sunday, January 11, 2026. He will be accompanied by his wife, Kristen, along with several Church leaders: Elder Steven R. Bangerter, Executive Director of the Temple Department, and his wife, Susan; Elder Elder José A. Teixeira, United States Central Area President, and his wife, Filomena; and Elder K. Brett Nattress, General Authority Seventy, and his wife, Shawna.
The dedication ceremony will take place at 10 a.m. MST and will be broadcast to all congregations within the temple district.
Temple Square is always beautiful in the springtime. Gardeners work to prepare the ground for General Conference.

Prior to the dedication, the public was invited to tour the sacred structure for more than two weeks. The open house concluded on November 22, 2025.
The Burley Idaho Temple was announced by then Church President Russell M. Nelson at the April 2021 general conference.
Ground was broken for the temple on June 4, 2022. The two-story temple of approximately 45,300 square feet stands on a 10.1-acre site at 40 South 150 East, Burley, ID 83318.
The Burley Idaho Temple will be the 11th temple announced, under construction or in operation in Idaho, which is home to more than 480,000 Latter-day Saints in approximately 1,275 congregations. Other temple locations in the state include Boise, Caldwell, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Falls, Meridian, Montpelier, Pocatello, Rexburg, Teton River and Twin Falls.
