Countries that have, or have had, openly gay Heads of Government

  1. Who gives a shit. Don’t elect leaders for their identity, elect them for their voice or their actions. If you feel your leaders represent in this way then elect them.

  2. Couldn’t help but notice that if it weren’t for Iceland the countries are in a straight line and I honestly don’t know what to make of that.

  3. What’s that huge red square in Atlantic Ocean? It’s a bit too small to be US, and I don’t think any US president was gay, maybe Clinton was bi but only because that guy fucked everything that moved, and possibly things that didn’t move too.

  4. Know a few European countries (or their processors like Rome for Italy, Prussia for Germany) that had gay/lesbian/bi monarchs in the past but I guess the “openly” excludes them.

  5. The PM of Serbia was not voted for. It’s a political stunt by our president that controls everyrhing here.He wants to look more progressive, while hiding many things.

  6. you’re the account that’s always posting pictures of Belgrade and serbia so no surprise you’ve decided not to draw Kosovo as it’s own country.

  7. Disputable. In the past you could do whatever, but you were expected to serve your family and country by having an heir, only legitimized by marrying. I guess you disqualify that as “openly” since it doesn’t follow your narrative in contemporary terms, since family was an economical institution turned nowadays into a posturing farce.

  8. Wait, in Mapchart, the website this map was made in, Kosovo is shown as a separate country, which means the creator manually erased the border of Kosovo. Lmao imagine being this petty, it’s like deliberately erasing the northern Irish border and coloring all of Ireland as part of the UK

  9. I am gay so naturally I am biased but I think its ok to speak on behalf of most Irish people when I say being gay (or a child of an immigrant) has no affect on a persons ability to lead a government. Leo Varadkar was as much of an out of touch asshole (if not more so) than any other high profile politician in Ireland.
