4. Tbh where im from in Austria there is the same phenomenon, most of the people like working and work when necessary long times but its written as overtime and either its payed or you can take free days off work at least its what i see in my company.
   The good part of it is that during the week you work more but you can take more days off later when you need / when you want to take longer vacation.

6. Germans love them some work. As soon as they invented the printed press, one of the most popular forms of illustrated literature was basically books full of woodcuts of people working in various professions:
