RTL has announced that MariKo will be an interval act for the Luxembourg Song Contest 2026 which will take place on January 24.

MariKo are set to be the interval act for the Luxembourg Song Contest 2026. The duo will be performing “Ah Jo” for audiences at the Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette. Mariko is formed of Marilù Bossio and Mirko who met at the Luxembourg Song Contest 2025 auditions, they made it through to the final stage of the auditions for the Luxembourg Song Contest 2026.

Their song is based around the Luxembourgish expression “Ah Jo” which means “Oh yes, of course”, you can listen to the track below:

The third edition of the Luxembourg Song Contest will take place on January 24 in Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette. A total of eight acts will compete to represent Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest 2026 in Vienna.

Laura Thorn represented Luxembourg at Eurovision 2025 with “La poupée monte le son”. She finished 22nd with 47 points. This is the country’s worst result since its comeback in 2024, when Luxembourg came 13th with Tali and “Fighter”.

Luxembourg in the Eurovision Song Contest+

Luxembourg was one of seven countries to take part in the first Eurovision Song Contest in 1956. Luxembourg participated in the contest 37 times before withdrawing from the contest after 1993. During these 37 years, they won the contest five times. The last of these victories came in 1983. Luxembourg came close to returning to the contest in 2004, but opted against it due to the financial cost of participating. They eventually returned in 2024, after an absence of 31 years.
