Perception of increased energy prices seems to be off.
Median = €170
I payed €90 each month last year. It was my brothers appartement the year before so I got his usage profile for a year on fixed contract.
I (guess that I)drastically cut the usage down during the year I got it because the end bill was like €20 in my benefit. He did a year WFH, I’m fulltime at the job.
At the start of this year the fixed contract voorschot was raised to €110.
My profile:
– single person appartement with 1 bedroom
– 2005 build with big south facing window. EPC score: 198
– AEG accumulatie verwarming with auto night charging. Somehow 3 different meterstanden on a digital but not smart connected meter
– I work full time at my job.
– not a big home cook so no oven usage.
Shoot a message if you want to know more.
170 is still a lot
This is kind of silly. The first category ranges from 0 to 200 euros. I used to pay 35 euros a month, now I pay 120. An 85 euro differential could make a lot of difference to a lot of people. The perception you have of how much other people pay does not provide an indication of how easy a time you have paying your bills.
something something intern fucked up
I was paying €230 for three months. Now it’s €160 per month PLUS I can’t get a fixed contract anymore.
