  1. Just a question, what would happen if they would just make the fines a lot higher? Like if it would be 100K, would anyone still do it?

  2. Lol i doubt it is that low. Look around when youre in traffic on de ring van brussel. EVERYONE is on their phone.

  3. Put your f*cking phone away, far away in a bag in your trunk/frunk or whatever.

Stop toying with your touchscreen iPadscreens while driving. You have to adjust your satnav or radio station every 30 seconds?!

My girlfriend and I play a game everytime we go out: she has a notepad and writes down the brand or car and who’s driving (male, female, young, old) to see who’s doing what. Maybe time to install a dashcam and send the images to the police so you nitwats can try and get your driving license again ?

As someone who’s done his driving license after the changes where they made it more difficult, it baffles me every day what crap you see and how incompetent some people are. (Oh yes it’s only young and inexperienced drivers am I right?!).

The talks about a point-based system for fines has to be picked up again and actually put into something tangible. We’re heading to a society where people rather stare at a screen instead of the thing they should be paying attention to: the road.

  4. Living 2km from work. If i get €1 for every person i see using a device while driving, i don’t have to work anymore

  5. At least COVID finally got my employer to make wfh the standard! I am now less likely to be confronted with those idiots.

Messaging isn’t even the worst I have seen them do.
A small list of things I have witnessed people do while driving:

Reading the newspaper that covered the steering wheel and a part of the window.

    Putting make up on.

    Flossing.

Putting lenses in, because that’s the thing to do while waiting for the light to turn green?

Having their phone in an appropriate holder not to use it for navigation but to watch f***ing Netflix?

And a special mention to the guy on his bicycle driving with one hand because he needed the other one to bring his 50cl Jupiler can to his mouth. At 730 in the morning no less.

Common guys surprise me with your favorite encounters!
