Was never in danger to begin with… The UK tech industry was (and still is) around twice as big as Germany’s, the next biggest in Europe.
“The fresh research underscores the capital has defied gloomy forecasts predicting Brexit would knock its competitiveness.”
Remainer Gloomsters will always gloom I guess.
The weekly missalette has arrived. Next week we find out why London is best London and how it will resist EU attempts to rename it Derrylondon.
This is interesting, because I’m currently freelancing for a US tech company looking to set up a European base, and none of the top three potential destinations are in the UK (Anglosphere is irrelevant when the Germanic countries generally speak it better than we do).
I’d like to crow about Brexit but I’d also like to set up in my home nation, so I would just be wary that this isn’t exactly the full picture. London is ok because most people realise that it’s basically a country within a country, but for longer-term plans, Britain isn’t the inviting prospect it used to be.

“London based think Tank rates London as best place”… Right
I always post news articles on here and r/europe to see the response.
100% of the time my posts on r/europe get more upvotes and a more positive conversation.
You lot need a shot of Sam Ryder. [Look at his little face!](https://i.imgur.com/0jqs2Im.jpg)
Cheer up, it may never happen. 🙂
