“This decision authorises the provision of assistance to Ukraine further to a request from the Embassy of Ukraine,” Božinović said, adding that the Civil Protection Directorate of the Interior Ministry will be responsible for implementing the decision.
A conclusion was also adopted on providing technical support for Ukraine’s power grid.
Economy Minister Ante Šušnjar stated that this is a form of specific assistance provided at the request of the Ukrainian Embassy, given that numerous energy facilities and key infrastructure across Ukraine have been seriously damaged or destroyed and large parts of the country are experiencing power outages.
He explained that the aid will take the form of transformers, pumps and other technical equipment that are no longer in use in Croatia.

It was recently reported that Croatia has decided to join the Prioritised Ukraine Requirements List (PURL) initiative, which provides for the purchase of US-made weapons for Ukraine, contributing approximately €14 million.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has reported that a total of 24 countries have joined the PURL initiative so far.
