Does anyone have an explanation for the high fees?

It’s not a Brexit problem, it’s a Visa problem. Better get Amex or Mastercard, screw Visa.
Does anyone know the Visa fees other countries have? Are the UK’s higher or is this Amazon testing the water to see if Visa will fold? The again I’m sure Amazon has their own credit card type payment system in the works.
Surely visa can’t be more expensive than Amex for the seller? Or if it is, then how the hell are they justifying that?
Just one more reason to stop shopping at Amazon.
Sweet just got a free £20 for switching from VISA credit to VISA debit.
No changes for people on Visa *debit* cards though
Two big companies having a slap fight over who gets to make the most money, and there are actually ordinary people taking sides as though either company were on your side. Baffling. It’s Epic Games vs Apple all over again.
Put your Visa credit card on your Paypal account.
Pay for your Amazon purchases using Paypal.
Problem solved, until Paypal also hike up their fees, which is indicative of a wider problem that you won’t be able to avoid forever anyway.
