Well they are the people you will finde most of in any army.
Younger people full of hope and patriotism, feed with propaganda ready to die like “the heroes of old for the father land”.
Poor people how dont have much to lose and hope to gain something. To some it feels like the onlye option they have.
Minorities wish to fit in. They believe there countryman wont see them as a minority and different from them, but as soldiers and heros.
Its sad but that how it is and how it always was.
Why do I feel like this will be spun as ethnic minorities died as they are lesser, while the strong, noble ethnic Russians are heroes who survived, leading to basically more russian propaganda about the strength of Russia?
This is how war have always been fought.
The same description applies equally well to American soldiers.
