Swiss Cinema: In Swiss cinemas, monitors were installed in the toilets so that visitors did not miss a movie when they left the hall for the restroom.

  1. It actually only diplays ads, and should prevent people from missing the toilet while peeing because they are leaning down to watch the ad. There is also one above every urinal which serves the same purpose.

  2. And when you try to look into it, I suppose you find out that “Swiss cinemas” is one particular theater that did it for 6 months some time in 2012.

  3. But I’ll still miss a bit of the movie on the way to the toilet. I’ll rather wait for an intermission

  4. There are some (and I believe those exactly) at the Arena Cinema in Geneva. It doesn’t show any movie, just the ads. And I haven’t seen those screen showing anything in the last year at least.

  5. This would rely on each screen having dedicated toilets. Unless it’s a smaller cinema with only one screen

  6. this was in one of the cinema in Geneva. also they removed it since then. I guess people where bootlegging the toilets or some shit.

  7. 🍀from 🇨🇭.. In my opinion that’s totally useless, toilet is not for spending time useless.. And imagine buying something from toilet TV commercials 🤣🤣.. Gruss aus der Schweiz
