If Sweden and Finland stand out for something, and Switzerland stands out more, I can’t help but feel like Switzerland is doing fine.
Uhh i have a funny story. My cuzen. Lets name him Shpend (his actuall name). Was 18 years old when he got sentenced for 4 years of Jail. He got into a snowball or ponzi scheme business. His boss owed him money. He did not pay. He went furious kidnapped him and his wife. Kinda funny isnt it?
He was the youngest prisoner at that time in the JVA Lenzburzg. He even made it on a television series “5 stars behind bars” on Tele M1. Anyway. In Switzerland you get weekends off after some months if you behave well. They do this in order to socialize prisoners and prepare them for normal life. After like 2 Years he was so sick of jail. One Monday (he should have been back in prison) he came to my Mum, his aunt. He said, well he is a free man, he finished his jail time but cant go home because his dad, my uncle, doesnt want him at home. Since he ruined the family reputation (Albanians…). My mom welcomed him said that he can stay till his dad chills down and accepts him back or he finds anything else. Days went by, and on friday, when i came home for Lunch after my french class…. HOLLY SHIT. Fucking special forces where in our house. My brother was handcuffed, my mum was making pizza with another police woman, since she said that the kids, one of them myself, will come home for lunch.
Well, the police told us, that no…he wasnt free, he had still 2 years to go.
I was kinda sad for shpend. He was in underwear when they got him in our house, he even tried to get away from the police and jumped out the window straight into a shattered bottle and got a really deep bad cut on his foot.
Well Shpend spend had to spend his last 2 years in prison and did not get sentenced a higher jail time.
This was like 10 years ago. He is around 30 now and has a beatiful daughter. He still crazy. But in a lovely way. He is fucking funny and no harm to anyone. I like how he does not regret what he did. He said, these motherfuckers had to feel it. And it was worth it.
