I am a male Cypriot citizen who got married to a female British citizen in the UK. It is admittedly unusual, but I intend to take my wife’s last name.
My question is whether the Cypriot consulate in London provides this service. I have booked a passport renewal appointment, but I wonder if there’s anything else that I need to do as part of the process. The CyprusInUK website mentions that a Change of Name Application costs £68 but there’s no other information on this. I tried ringing and emailing, but as usual, I got no response.
I’m also a bit worried because the passport renewal form has a section specifically for married females and their husband’s surnames, but nothing for males:
(4. Marriage Certificate for married women, who wish to have their husband’s name recorded)

Has anyone got experience with this that they can share? Any tips and pointers will be massively appreciated.

When you renew your passport, on the [form](http://www.moi.gov.cy/moi/crmd/crmd.nsf/0/27852D1A980D670EC2257D2C003176C2/$file/Application%20for%20passport.pdf) they ask for your name in Greek as written on your marriage certificate. If you got married with your normal name and you want to change it after your wedding certificate was issued, undergo the normal name change procedure and once that’s approved you can use that approved name change affidavit as evidence on your passport renewal that your new name is indeed legal
