A cross-country casting tour for the 10th season of The Great Canadian Baking Show is kicking off this month, and it’s set to be the biggest to date.
The casting team for the hit CBC show will be taking to several Canadian cities over the next few weeks and is inviting homebakers to show off their skills in a bid to land a coveted place in the tent.
Open baker auditions will take place in Edmonton, Alta.; Winnipeg, Man.; Toronto, Ont.; Montreal, Que.; Moncton, N.B.; and Charlottetown, P.E.I.
Anyone looking to attend the event will need to register their interest online and be prepared to bring one home-baked item to the casting that will “show off their design skills, techniques, and flavours.”
The items will also be presented to the casting team for tasting, so this will be your opportunity to wow them.
Here’s when the open castings will take place in each city:
Saturday, Jan. 24 at S3PACE – 205 Placer Ct. Main Level, North York, Ont.
Friday, Jan. 30 at The Holman Grand Hotel – 123 Grafton St., Charlottetown, P.E.I.
Saturday, Jan. 31 at Canvas Moncton Tapestry Hotel by Hilton – 55 Queen St., Moncton, N.B.
Sunday, Feb. 1 at Delta Hotels by Marriott Montréal – 475 Av. du Président-Kennedy, Montréal, Que.
Tuesday, Feb. 3 at Holiday Inn & Suites Edmonton International Airport – Conference Centre, 1100 4th St., Nisku, Alta.
Thursday, Feb. 5 at Fort Garry Hotel – 222 Broadway, Winnipeg, Man.
If you are unable to make an in-person casting, budding contestants are also encouraged to apply online.
