Rangers are keeping tabs on Hungarian winger Damir Redzic.
The 22-year-old is on the Ibrox club’s radar after impressive displays for Slovakian side Dunajska Strada. Record Sport understands Gers are monitoring Redzic’s situation but haven’t yet made a formal move for the ex-Ferencvaros star.
Rangers rate the wide man, who made his international debut against Republic of Ireland last year. Danny Rohl’s side are in terrific form as they mount an unlikely challenge for the Scottish Premiership title.
The German coach is keen to strengthen his squad in the January transfer window and has already snapped up £3.5 million midfielder Tochi Chukwuani from Sturm Graz. Gers are expected to announce the arrival of left-back Tuur Rommens from Belgian outfit Westerlo in the next 24 hours.
And they’re keen to add more new faces before the end of the month. Rohl wants another winger and Rangers have already been linked with a loan move for Wolfsburg’s £12 million-rated Andreas Skov Olsen.
The Dane is out of favour at the Bundesliga club but has several clubs across Europe chasing him.. With current Ibrox wide man Djeidi Gassama attracting interest from abroad and the MLS, Gers are actively in the market for another attacker.
And Redzic, who started his career at Ferencvaros before making the move to Dunajska Strada in 2024, is on their list of potential targets. He’s scored seven goals in 14 league appearances for the Slovaks already this term – and Rangers are weighing up a move before the end of the window.
Following the 2-0 win over Aberdeen on Sunday that kept Rangers to within three points of Premiership leaders Hearts, manager Rohl praised Ibrox chiefs for getting the deal for defensive midfielder Chukwuani over the line.
He said: “I’m very happy as we’ve worked hard over the last couple of days to get the deal done.
“Big thank you to Andrew (Cavenagh) and the board and at the moment our communication is great. Tochi will bring a good physical side and experience in Europe.
“But it’s also important to understand we have a good group here, they showed that on the pitch today. They deserve big credit but this is exactly what we need – a challenge in some positions.

“We have to understand our development in the last 12 weeks, it’s been outstanding from some players. Look at Thelo, who scored a goal today. He’s the next one to go in the right direction for us which is really pleasing to see.”
