The ABA2 League competition continues with the sixth round matches, and the first Montenegrin teams to take to the court will be Mornar, who will be visiting Helios tonight (20).

After five rounds, Mornar has a record of two wins and three losses, and after Helios, they have a home match against Vojvodina and an away match against Zlatibor. All duels with teams that aspire to make it to the playoffs.

“I only had the opportunity to watch Helios once and I know that they are a team that bases their game on points from transition. They are high-quality, which is why they are at the very top of the ABA 2 league,” said Mornar coach Mihailo Pavicevic.

Mornar had problems with injured players during the season, and a few days ago they made official the arrival of Petar Minić and Alija Islamović, who made their debuts against Ulcinj in the Montenegrin championship.

“We finally got together after a long, long time and did a training session with ten players, but we are still missing certain players. We will try to match Helios, but it will not be easy at all,” emphasized Pavicevic.

Helios is 4-1 – they defeated Sloboda, TFT, Primorje and Radnički, and lost to Borac from Banja Luka.

“I expect a good match. We are familiar with Helios’ qualities. We know they are a good team. We are slowly regrouping, our players are returning from injuries, but we are still missing captain Vranješ. Our goal is to cause a surprise and return to the top of the ABA 2 league,” added Baran basketball player Petar Krivokapić.

When it comes to other Montenegrin teams, Podgorica will host Radnički on Friday, Primorje will play at home against Borac on January 20th, and Sutjeska will play away to Student on January 26th.
