By Ascenty and Casa dos Ventos

São Paulo, January 13, 2026 – Casa dos Ventos, a benchmark in renewable energy and a key player in the energy transition in Brazil, and Ascenty, the largest data center company in Latin America, have just signed the largest renewable energy contract under a self-production model for data centers in Latin America. The agreement, worth more than half a billion dollars , provides for the supply of 110 average megawatts (MWm).

The contractual model establishes Ascenty’s equity interest in two Casa dos Ventos projects. Both are under development and are expected to begin operating in 2027. Together, the projects have an installed capacity of more than 1.5 GW.

For Casa dos Ventos, the partnership reinforces the company’s progress in the data center segment, a market that is growing at a rapid pace and demands clean, stable, long-term energy solutions. The agreement consolidates the company’s presence as a leading energy supplier for this sector and strengthens its role in Brazil’s energy transition.

“Ascenty operates in a sector that is at the heart of the digital transformation. Providing renewable energy through this agreement highlights Casa dos Ventos’ role in supporting the country’s new infrastructure and innovation demands. Our partnership was guided by the complementarity of renewable energy sources, robustness of supply, and a long-term vision.”, emphasizes Lucas Araripe, Casa dos Ventos’ executive director.

The configuration of the connection, with different renewable sources, increases operational flexibility and contributes to more robust energy planning for Ascenty over the term of the contract. The partnership with Casa dos Ventos will enable the company to avoid the emission of approximately 5 million tons of CO2 in the coming years.

“This initiative represents the strengthening of our decarbonization strategy. The combination of renewable energy sources and the security of a long-term supply offers greater predictability for the growth of our operations throughout Latin America,” says Christopher Torto, CEO of Ascenty, who relied on the advisory services of Clean Energy Latin America (CELA) in this project. “For us, working with clean and renewable energy means enabling new digital capabilities. By aligning energy efficiency with technological innovation, we create the foundations for our data centers to support, in a scalable way, the potential of artificial intelligence, driving advanced solutions for clients and strategic sectors in the region,” the executive concludes.
