Well he believes the rules don’t apply to him so it’s not like he could be punished for breaking them. The worst part is that he’s right.
I know he’s presided over the trashing of our international reputation, most of our alliances, our economy, the deaths of 170k people, the complete devaluation of truth or standards in public life, the normalisation of gaslighting by the government, cronyism that Major could only dream of – but we might one day come to be thankful for him. Before, we used to pretend that we had an ‘unwritten constitution’, now this sounds about as ridiculous as an employer offering you an ‘unwritten contract’. I dread to think how many more have to suffer or die to satisfy this creature’s ego, my vain hope is that he’s broken so much that we’ve no choice but to finally drag the UK into the eighteenth century.
He lied. They mean that he lied. Have some fucking guts Guardian and get that on the front page.
The contempt he has .
Sorry but a photo of Boris standing just inside a room, with his briefcase slung on a chair in front of him and a glass in his hand, does not persuade me he was partying. Dropping in to say a very brief farewell to a former colleague? Yes, as he should.
Honestly, I care less that he broke the rules and far, far more about the arrogance, entitlement, gas lighting, and disdain they showed and continue to show in the fall out.
And I still don’t care.
He lied, his defenders lied. He’s going to lie more, his defenders are going to lie more.
PS. The Met is corrupt and complicit in this deception.
That he was fucking lying, like we all knew he was, like he has done constantly and consistently since he was in school, and like he will continue to do going forward.
What will happen, you say? What will come off the back of this?
Absolutely sweet fuck all.
The funny thing is it looks like a still shot from a video, it’s almost as if all context was removed deliberately.
