MEMPHIS, Tenn. (WMC) – A business that works with the software company Oracle plans to build an AI data center in Memphis.
The Daily Memphian reports that Nate Golden of Golden Acquisitions bought the building at 1341 Sycamore View.
Golden told Daily Memphian he is working with The STEM Practice, a tech company that works with Oracle.
The Daily Memphian reports it’s not a massive data center like xAI’s Colossus; it will be modular instead.
Golden says the plan is to have part of the data center running by May 1 with plans to expand.
This is the third data center project announced in our area in the last two months.
In December, Legacy Power Capital announced its “Neural Nexus” project for Downtown Memphis near Autozone Park.
xAI announced last week that its third supercomputer will be built in Southaven.
