I don’t think I really understand this. Are there no marriages in Lithuania? Or is a civil partnership different to marriage? If yes, how do they differ and why?

Fucking proud of my country for once.
I’ve seen people shit on countries that are passing bills like this because it isn’t gay marriage. What I find kinda funny (and obnoxious) is that a lot of these people live in countries in which gay marriage wasn’t a thing until a few years ago (same in my country) and gender-neutral civil unions are still way less controversial than gay marriage.
