    I know the expression “tone deaf” has been done to death but this must be an appropriate situation for it?

    This is a bit of a red herring though. My passport renewal showed up in 2 weeks, as did my mother’s and my sister’s. My baby’s first time application turned up in 3 months within the estimated time frame. First time applications and complex applications have always taken longer… I don’t understand the reasons for her bolstering this now except to bolster her own profile because the passport renewal situations have always been the same, especially around peak travel times. It’s a non issue she’s using as a platform for herself. And this name change is literally squeezing the last drop out of the passport juice.

She is delighted because they have managed to nip the issue in the bud, where people may have had a small sliver of hope, thinking they could get their passport quickly in order to leave the country. Sorry guys, Government policy is misery and hopelessness for all!! Now sit down and soak in the misery!!

  20. I don’t get the win for the TD in question here – why would you want your name associated with something pointless, that suggests you haven’t a clue what you should really be doing to represent your constituents.

  27. I was sure this was a parody too. The video makes it even worse. She’s grinning ear to ear while telling us this change took months of campaigning. Good God, she does not have a fucking clue.
