Nika Egadze is in the hunt for his first major international title after topping the men’s short program at the ISU Figure Skating European Championships 2026 on Thursday (15 January).

The Georgian scored 91.28 points to lead the way ahead of Saturday’s free skate in Sheffield.

Estonian Aleksandr Selevko placed second with 88.71, just ahead of his brother Mihhail Selevko, who scored 88.28.

Matteo Rizzo of Italy was fourth, but there was disappointment for French champion Kevin Aymoz, who fell three times and failed to qualify for the free skate.
