Hosts for The Luxembourg Song Contest 2026 have been confirmed, while there are going to be some surprises too!
About hosts
The live event will once again be presented by familiar faces from RTL, Raoul Roos and Loïc Juchem, with the addition of actress Hana Sofia Lopes joining as co-host. Her presence adds a touch of glamour and international appeal to the production.
MariKo as an interval act
MariKo have been confirmed as an interval act where they will perform their song “Ah Jo” on stage at the Rockhal in Esch-sur-Alzette. The duo consists of Marilù Bossio and Mirko, who first met during the auditions for the Luxembourg Song Contest 2025. While they did not compete in this year’s live show, they progressed to the final round of auditions for the Luxembourg Song Contest 2026, earning them the opportunity to return to the stage as special guests.
JJ as a guest act
The latest Eurovision winner, JJ, was also confirmed as an interval act for the Luxembourg Song Contest 2026. He is expected to perform his Eurovision-winning song “Wasted Love”, and other songs.
Competing acts
Eight acts had been chosen for the competition, with one act returning to the selection.

The Luxembourg Song Contest 2026 is set to take place on January 24th, 2026.
Luxembourg’s Eurovision journey
Luxembourg first made its debut in the first edition of the Contest in 1956, with its first entries being “Ne crois pas” and “Les Amants de minuit”, both performed by Michèle Arnaud. Since the first Contest, Luxembourg has competed a total of 38 times. Their best result was finishing in 1st place five times – in 1961, 1965, 1972, 1973 and 1983 respectively.
Luxembourg’s latest participation came in Basel in 2025. Laura Thorn represented Luxembourg with the song “La poupée monte le son”, qualifying in seventh place. In the Grand Final, Luxembourg finished 22nd, receiving 47 points: 23 from the national juries, and 24 from the televoters.
