Estonia’s Niina Petrokina has achieved a stunning victory in European women’s figure skating, capturing her second consecutive title just weeks after returning to competition following Achilles surgery.

The 21-year-old showcased an exceptional performance, landing seven triple jumps and scoring 145.53 points in the free programme, culminating in an overall score of 216.14. Petrokina expressed her determination to prove her doubters wrong, saying, “I wanted to show that it’s real.”

In a competition marked by notable comebacks, Belgium’s Loena Hendrickx secured second place and Italy’s Lara Naki Gutmann took third. Additionally, the ice dance event was dominated by the French duo Fournier Beaudry and Cizeron, who displayed outstanding performances on the path to the upcoming Olympics.
