  1. Wdym uneconomical.

The amount of tourists that visit polish castles is crazy. The castles probably paid for their construction x10 over by now in revenues.

  2. That’s what happens when you combine too low intelligence with too much money.

  3. I mean this thing has a potential to be really cool. The problem here is someone having a pass on breaking environment protection laws.

  4. What’s funny is that this construction is going on without a permit

  5. Wish it was completed lmao – nice hotel to spend a week of vacation in. At least it’s what it could be lol.

  6. Calling Puszcza Notecka a “primeval forest” is a bit too much, it was mostly planted there in the late 1800s. The word “puszcza” just means “a large forest” nowadays, it doesn’t need to be an old one.

  7. Is it a private residence? How would it bring in money to the community? I mean some temp labor jobs, and a few service jobs. But, then nothing?

  8. Europe: Castles are useless now, forget about them

Poland: What time is it? Time to build another castle

  9. I do not support breaking the law especially against natural environment, but this is not primeval forest… It’s arable forest, with many protected areas but not primeval…

  10. I think it’s being build illegally and in a national park? yeah it’s Poland

  11. Here in France, we also have an under construction castle : the castle of Guédelon. It is not well known, but pretty nice to visit. The castle is build using only medieval methods.

  12. Fun fact, they started the build illegaly, but when the government noticed a huge ass castle in the middle of the forest they just turned a bkind eye (still have to fine and eco fees for trees amd stuff)

  13. Looking at the current war at Ukraine the castles are the choke points for enemies
