I dont know what are the protocols in Split but you can usually go to the nearest cash register and show them the fine and proof that you paid then they shoud return you the money. There shoud also be a number that you can call and tell them the problem then they will send you the guy that gave you the fine. Someone can correct me if im wrong.
Ignore it but keep the online card as a backup somewhere.
Don’t waste your time for their mistakes.
If they escalate it don’t respond and you will be fine .

£5.50 fine for parking, that is cheap. In the UK it would be at least £90, more like £120-150.
